About this project
A PPP bid for consortium Connect 11 Partnership for the design and construction of the Peninsula Link freeway involving. the construction of a 27-kilometre freeway between Carrum Downs and Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula.
DCM’s role as Urban Design consultants involved working collaboratively with the design team to achieve an innovative and holistic response to this challenging project. Our role was to set an overarching urban design strategy that balances the driver’s experience with the neighbouring communities’ needs.
We carried our strategies and concepts across multiple scales from the broader surrounding landscape and view corridors to the details of bridge abutments, piers and noise wall patterns.
