Kompas Multimedia Towers
Workplace
Jakarta, Indonesia
Project 2014 – 2018
About this project
The 226 metre high 52-storey tower houses Kompas Gramedia’s media operations, housing newsrooms, TV facilities along with A-Grade office spaces.
The tower is clad with a double-skin perforated aluminium facade limiting solar heat gain to considerably reducing the air-conditioning load and operating costs.
The pixelated perforated facade symbolises the digital era and multimedia transformation, while the pen-like pinnacle represents Kompas’ origins in print journalism.
Landscaping at the entrance, along with the fifth-floor garden with perforated metal parasols, provide passive cooling and external workspace.
