Luxelakes Cloud Island

About this project

Luxelakes Eco-City is a 550-hectare model environmentally sustainable urban development containing 150 hectares of manmade lakes with Luxelakes Cloud Island being a high-end residential twin tower designed as a gateway to Eco-City. It stands out for its bold, clean-line architectural expression and luxury living.

The project has a three-part entry experience: the gateway formed by the twin towers; a covered arrival space framing elevated lake views; finally leading into a generous entry lobby designed for sculpture displays. Additional spacious and well-lit residential amenities contribute to the sense of luxury.

The expression of the Y-shaped towers was inspired by water lilies floating in ponds, while referencing to the lakeside environment. Horizontal thin plates articulate the towers with vertical blades between them for shade to east and west facades. The uniform, abstract appearance expresses luxury living.

With only three apartments per floor, at 200m² to 225m² all have aspect on three sides ensuring excellent light, cross ventilation and outlook. Internally the configuration accommodates western and Chinese kitchens associated with generous living areas.
