Union co-living, by Vita Group, offers high yield, high amenity, inner city living in a twin tower development. They provide affordable living units, together with multiple levels of social spaces, live work lounges, bicycle parking, retail and a diverse range of amenities to create a complete residential community.

The buildings are at the core of St. John’s Enterprise City, one of Manchester’s primary regeneration areas. They are designed as a pair, united by their materiality but subtly distinguished by their overall architectural composition with an articulated silver-grey ‘grid’ laid over a dark ‘box’. The vertical ‘grid’ spans two and four storeys to emphasise their slender form.
Union T1 is 32 storeys with 870 beds, while T2 is 36 storeys 806 beds.

The living accommodation comprises Quad (4), Trio (3) and Duo (2) bed apartments, and studios, tailored to appeal to the creative and tech talent driving the broader occupation of Enterprise City. Of these 80% are shared living units and 20% are studios. The units range from:

  • Studios: 16 – 31m2
  • Duo, 2 Bed: 47m2
  • Trio, 3 bed: 71m2
  • Quad, 4 bed: 99m2

All units have ensuite bathrooms, avoiding non preferred shared bathrooms.

The highly successful development is creating a dynamic, affordable destination for young city workers, previously locked out, financially from, desirable inner-city neighbourhoods.
