About this project
Union Co-living offers high yield, high amenity, inner city living in a twin tower development providing affordable living with multiple levels of social spaces, live-work lounges, bicycle parking, retail and amenities.
The buildings are at the core of St. John’s Enterprise City, one of Manchester’s primary regeneration areas. Designed as a pair, united by their materiality, but subtly distinguished by their overall architectural composition articulated with a silver-grey ‘grid’ spanning two and four storeys.
Union T1 is 32 storeys with 870 beds, while T2 is 36 storeys and 806 beds.
Accommodation comprises 80% Quad (4), Trio (3) and Duo (2) bed apartments, and 20% studios. Units range in size from:
– Studios: 16 – 31m²
– Duo, 2 Bed: 47m²
– Trio, 3 bed: 71m²
– Quad, 4 bed: 99m²
All units have ensuite bathrooms, avoiding non preferred shared bathrooms.
The highly successful development is creating a dynamic, affordable destination for young city workers, previously locked out, financially, from desirable inner-city neighbourhoods.
